Andres Alastuey

Andrés Alastuey is a Research Professor at the National Scientific Research Council (CSIC) at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA). He has over 25 years of experience in environmental geochemistry. In recent years he has focused on the geochemistry of atmospheric aerosols, aerosols in urban, regional and remote environments. He acts as an air quality advisor to several major city councils, regional governments and the Spanish Ministry of the Environment. He is co-author of more than 400 scientific publications, of which more than 29,400 citations. He is the scientist responsible for the EGAR network (www.idaea.csic.es/egar) of monitoring stations for measurements of atmospheric aerosols and gaseous precursors, which is part of ACTRIS RI (Aerosols, Clouds, and infrastructure trace gas research).
