The aim of the signed protocol is the implementation of joint projects focused on the physical-chemical examination of cultural heritage artifacts from the collection of the Serbian Orthodox Church. These projects will employ non-invasive, non-destructive, mobile, and other instrumental techniques specifically tailored for such unique materials.

By officially signing this Agreement, the “Vinča” Institute and the Serbian Orthodox Church have formalized their long-standing collaboration. The agreement provides for intensifying joint projects, exchanging expertise and knowledge, and sharing relevant literature. It also encourages the joint presentation of research findings, professional development of staff from both institutions, and the active promotion of modern scientific methods in the field of analysis and preservation of cultural heritage.

In addition to the formal segment of the meeting, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch kyr Porfirije, accompanied by archpriest Đorđe Stojisavljević, Chief of Staff to the Patriarch, and priest Dr. Vladimir Radovanović, Director of the Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church, engaged in an open and cordial discussion with representatives of the „Vinča“ Institute, led by Director Dr. Slavko Dimović. The participants emphasized the importance of collaboration, noting that science, religion, and education represent the fundamental pillars of society and the state. While differing in perspectives, their cooperation contributes to a more comprehensive and balanced development.

Highlighting the pervasive presence of self-centeredness and the prioritization of individualism, they stressed the importance of public trust in institutions like the Church, as well as educational and scientific organizations, which are crucial for contemporary society.
