Prof. Dr. Dramićanin emphasized that nuclear energy is one of the potential solutions for addressing challenges related to electricity shortages and reducing carbon dioxide emissions. He highlighted that this process requires strategic planning, including the education of experts, establishing appropriate legal frameworks, building infrastructure, and ensuring high standards of safety and security.

Serbia possesses substantial human resources to initiate all necessary processes. However, time and dedication are essential for training skilled professionals and implementing advanced technologies, such as Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and fourth-generation reactors.

In the context of renewable energy development, Prof. Dr. Dramićanin pointed out that their full potential can only be realized with adequate balancing in the power system. He cited gas power plants and nuclear energy as key options, emphasizing the need for a strategic approach aligned with geopolitical and environmental standards.

Speaking about environmental protection, Prof. Dr. Dramićanin stressed the importance of reducing the negative impact of various forms of pollution, noting that a focus on energy efficiency is crucial for a sustainable future. The development of new materials that consume less energy while producing greater lighting effects is a significant contribution to this field.

Clarifying the significance of being ranked among the top 2% of the most influential scientists on Stanford's list, Prof. Dr. Dramićanin commended the young researchers at the Vinča Institute for their dedication to scientific research. As a key message, he called for responsible energy use and investment in innovations that bring long-term benefits to society.
