A joint meeting of representatives of the national institutes of the Republic of Serbia was held at the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences. In addition to representatives from the Vinča Institute, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković", the Institute of Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy, the Institute for Medical Research, and the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering.
The purpose of the meeting was to exchange experiences and identify constructive solutions to the challenges faced by scientific research organizations in their work, with a particular focus on the legal and financial status of researchers. In addition to proposing various mechanisms for improving the functioning of research institutions, the participants emphasized the importance and usefulness of regularly organizing such working meetings.
These gatherings provide a platform for open discussion about the ongoing challenges faced by institutes, highlighting the benefits of forming joint positions and developing shared proposals and mechanisms to overcome them.
As a gracious host, the Vinča Institute welcomed colleagues from other institutions and opened the door to deeper cooperation – not only in the scope of project activities, which have been successfully ongoing for years, but also in addressing the concrete issues that research institutions face daily in the pursuit of their scientific goals.
