In order to strengthen cooperation in the field of science and technology, a delegation from the "Vinča" Institute, led by Dr. Slavko Dimović and Milan Ljušić, visited Libya from January 26 to 31, 2025.
During the recent visit, representatives of the Institute had the opportunity to meet key players in the Libyan scientific and industrial sectors and to present the capacities and potentials of the Institute for possible scientific and technological cooperation and the identification of new opportunities for joint projects.
Special emphasis was placed on the fields of radiation and nuclear safety, risk management of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear materials (CBRN), as well as the application of modern technologies in energy and medicine.
The "Vinča" Institute, as part of the state delegation organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Serbia, made a significant step towards improving business cooperation and opening new markets for Serbian institutions and companies. Numerous bilateral meetings and business forums were held, contributing to the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries.
At the Business Forum, which brought together over 200 representatives of the Libyan business and academic community, the "Vinča" Institute showcased its expertise in the domain of innovation and technological solutions that can support the development of industrial and infrastructure projects in Libya.
The historic friendly relations between Serbia and Libya, as well as previous cooperation experiences in the field of infrastructure projects, provide a solid foundation for further strengthening and improving relations in the field of science and technology.
The "Vinča" Institute remains committed to the development of international cooperation and the application of its scientific achievements in development projects of strategic importance.
