Dr. Slavko Dimović, Director of the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences, participated in the 69th International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) General Conference in Vienna, representing the Republic of Serbia as part of the national delegation.

During the conference, Dr. Dimović attended the scientific forum "Atoms for Water," a presentation on an e-beam system, and the general debate of the conference. He also participated in a series of important events, most notably the signing of an agreement between the IAEA and the Oncology Institute of Vojvodina - Sremska Kamenica, as well as a meeting with a delegation from the European Commission. Bilateral discussions were also of particular importance, including a meeting with Canadian experts on the prospects for developing nuclear energy in Serbia.

Dr. Dimović also visited a special exhibition by the Republic of Serbia dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Mileva Marić Einstein's birth, one of the pioneers in the fields of physics and mathematics, whose work and legacy continue to inspire modern science.

"I highly appreciate the IAEA's role in promoting the peaceful use of nuclear energy, strengthening international cooperation, and supporting sustainable solutions for our common future," Dr. Dimović said during his participation at the conference.
