The Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences has launched the Nuclear Tour – a series of public forums across Serbia dedicated to education, dialogue, and clarifying myths surrounding nuclear energy.

The goal of this initiative is to familiarize citizens with contemporary trends in nuclear technology, safety, and sustainable development, while also facilitating open conversations with the Institute's scientists.

The Nuclear Tour's first stop was the Regional Innovation Startup Center in Paraćin, where the Institute's Director, Dr. Slavko Dimović, held a lecture on September 19, 2025, titled "Nuclear Energy – Now or When?"

The lecture drew a large crowd of citizens, students, and local community representatives, all of whom had the opportunity to learn more about the role of nuclear energy in maintaining a stable and clean energy system, as well as its significance for Serbia's future.

Following the presentation, a dynamic discussion ensued during which participants posed questions to the Vinča Institute's team of experts, covering topics from safety and environmental protection to new technologies and innovations being developed within the Institute.

By launching the Nuclear Tour, the Vinča Institute aims to open the doors of science to the public and provide transparent insight into the importance and potential that Serbia holds in the field of nuclear energy and technology.
