inovativne metode zastite 23122024 1Researchers from the „Vinča“ Institute of Nuclear Sciences, Dr. Ivan Lazović and Uzahir Ramadani, participated in the international workshop “Protecting Your Research in the Digital Age” held in Bucharest, Romania, on December 10-11, 2024. The workshop gathered representatives from academic research institutions with the goal of strengthening capacities for protecting research data in the digital environment.

The workshop was organized by Deloitte Consulting, with support from the U.S. Department of State, and aimed to raise awareness about the importance of research data security and provide practical strategies for improving risk management in scientific institutions. During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences and learn new methods and tools to help maintain research data security in contemporary digital conditions.

The event was held in collaboration with the Association for Resilience Through Technology, the Euro-Atlantic Resilience Center, and representatives from the University of Belgrade, Dr. Nedeljko Milosavljević and Dr. Milan Slavković. The workshop covered key topics related to data security in research institutions, the roles of researchers and IT professionals in data protection, and strategies for implementing enhanced security practices.

Researchers from the „Vinča“ Institute gained significant new knowledge and skills, which they will apply in practice to improve the security of research data at the Institute and contribute to the further development of best practices in this field. The acquired experiences and knowledge will significantly enhance security standards and operational practices, thereby contributing to greater efficiency and safety in scientific work.

The „Vinča“ Institute is proud of its researchers, who, through participation in international events, not only enhance their professional competencies but also actively contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in research data protection. This contribution will have a long-term positive impact on institutional operations and the broader scientific community.
